Who are you? Where are you?
Henkka and Miika are long-term friends who started to play together in '99. Jukka was writing songs with his mate in the same neighbourhood but they didn't know each other at that time. A common friend of them got them together after finding out they all had the same kind of musical goals. There were a couple of line-up changes during 2000-2003 and the current line-up fell into place in 2004 when Janne joined the band as a bassist. Juha was already poached in '03. The band was formed in Vantaa in 2000 and they are currently located in Helsinki.

Where is that?
In a northern country called Finland.

Are you the same guys out of the band called Sleeping Pill?
Yeah, we really were Sleeping Pill earlier. I guess we wanted a new name that could describe our music in a more comprehensive way. Sleeping Pill was a bit too unambiguous. If you know any Finnish you'll absolutely know what happens when adding a certain vowel to the end of the word "pill". Do you?

Your music is dreamy. Do you write music during rehearsals?
Yes, in a way. Usually the basis of a new song has been written earlier, but we pay a lot of attention of arrangements. On the other hand we jam a lot as well, you know these endless, "melting pot" of songs, and sometimes there are some nice parts to utilize later. Usually we rehearse the old material for some three hours and we concentrate on new pieces and drinking and smoking for another two hours (it takes usually more than that). Our mutual sense of humor helps too where the most common feature among us is muteness. We can sit together in a table for hours where nobody says a word. Everything is just fine and fun. Therefore we have a creative atmosphere in our rehearsals and also our similar ambitious musical visions have solidified it all.

I want to see you live. How often do you perform?
Well it depends a lot. Sometimes we have several gigs in a month, but it's not unusual to be locked into the basement for months. Basically, we would perform as much as possible. Please keep watching the gigs -section and sign our guestbook for more information.

How is it going right now?
I think first of all that we would like people to discover us. We are writing new music all the time and are therefore looking for a company to release it and to make it available for larger number of people. Anyway, we will continue to make eclectic and heartfelt music. If someone discovers us in the process then that is simply beautiful.
