Sightseeing day. We were making this blog last night until 6.00am and had made some plans for today to go and check out the glorious Mt. Fuji. So after only 3 hours sleep we managed somehow (thanks to dapijuoma and lonkkuvesi)to wake up at 10.00 and thumble our way to the metro station and so on towards the mountain. It took somewhere around 3 hours to get to Hakone, which is a good place to spot the hill. Hakone is a nice and cosy village by the lake Ashinoko. Unfortunately it's a raining season here at the moment and the day was too foggy to see the mountain itself. But it was worthwhile anyway to get to Hakone because it's really a beautiful place and there was lots of other things to see. Long walks in the hills, forests, and around the old historical temple areas were calming enough to make us forget that we were dead tired. So if you're planning a trip to Tokyo, we highly recommend that you find yourself some time to go and see this magical place. And then after a nice japanese meal here at Asakusa (the suburb where our hostel is located) we were back at the hostel around midnight.
